The first images were shot with a 35mm Minolta on a short vacation in the Ozarks in 2002. In April of 2003 we moved to Harrison Arkansas and I started taking more photographs and putting them online for friends and family.
In 2003 I also built Harrisonark.com. The web site originally was meant as ‘practice’ to try out new approaches to web design. Soon people from all over the world was visiting the site and looking at my average at best photographs!
In 2004 I upgraded my camera to an Olympus digital 4.0 mega pixel and the photos looked mildly better.
In 2005 I was lucky enough to get to know two well known area photographers who taught me a great deal about photography. I also had an opportunity to work with better photographic equipment and fell in love with the Cannon EOS.
In 2006 I rebuilt the web site using xHTML. The style and design of the site is controlled by a style sheet. The original site which housed over 80 pages was reduced to just five using PHP.
